Summit Federal Credit Union's Community Canvas Returns
The Summit Federal Credit Union’s popular “Community Canvas” returns to Artist Row, an annual juried art show, sale and event which runs Sunday, September 15th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City of Rochester Public Market. Admission to the event as well as participation in the Community Canvas is free and open to the public.
The Summit is the primary sponsor of Artist Row, which features numerous artisans as well as musical entertainment and food trucks. Additionally, WBEE’s Terry Clifford will broadcast from Artist Row between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on behalf of The Summit.
Kids and adults attending Artist Row may stop at The Summit’s booth and use any of a variety of supplies to create art on a square piece of paper. Everyone, regardless of art experience, is encouraged to participate. After the event, the squares are put together into a quilt-like piece, which is hung at The Summit’s Main/Winton Branch in Rochester.
“Artist Row lets us share the creativity of both the exhibiting artisans and the people who come by our booth,” said Cheryl Pohlman, Vice President of Marketing and Community Relations at The Summit.
Since 2012, The Summit has been a leading sponsor of the City of Rochester Public Market, including the New Nutrition Education Center, Vendor of the Month, Artist Row and the Market Trolley. 2019 is the 15th Annual Artist Row planned by the Friends of the Rochester Public Market. In addition to The Summit’s sponsorship, Artist Row receives support from the City of Rochester and other local sponsors.
